The Rakutowskie Lake is a peculiar body of water, where immense changes in the area of mirror of water take place. Thus, many-hectare areas of revealing lake bed emerge at summer's end. These places are grown by silt-covered ground vegetation and pioneering rush vegetation. Flora of these habitats has been analysed, a list of plant communities has been compiled, the structure of pioneering populations has been presented and the ongoing ecological processes have been defined.
