The Experiment of Acoustic Levitation and the Analysis by Simulation  [PDF]

Abstract:
An acoustic levitation test bench was built to successfully suspend a small ball of a certain density. It was found that the smaller the diameter and density of the suspended sample, the easier it is to suspend. The diameter of the sample should not be larger than 1/4 - 1/3 of the wavelength of the acoustic wave. In addition, as the sound pressure increases, the sound flow also affects the stability of the acoustic levitation. Comsol was used to nu-merical simulation the spatial sound field, pressure field and particle ve-locity distribution of different suspension cavity heights, and the factors affecting the acoustic levitation capacity were analyzed.
Analysis of Spatial Sensitivity Based on Electrostatic Monitoring Technique in Oil-Lubricated System  [PDF]

Abstract:
In this paper, for the detection of wear particles in lubricating oil roads, by an-alyzing the particle belt motor, a mathematical model of the oil circuit electro-static sensor considering the dielectric constant is proposed. At the same time, the concept of spatial sensitivity and visual field is introduced. The influencing factors of the position of the charged abrasive particles, the axial length of the sensor and the radial radius were studied respectively. The influence of each variable on the sensitivity was obtained, and the accuracy of the mathematical model was also verified. The simulation results show that reducing the radial radius of the sensor can effectively increase the spatial sensitivity of the electrostatic sensor; the larger the axial length L of the electrode, the higher the sensitivity, and the more uniform the cross-sectional sensitive field distribution; in the axial and radial directions, the larger the shaft diameter ratio, the more sensitive the sensor is and the more sensitive it is.
Synthesis and Characterization of ZnTe Hierarchical Nanostructures

Abstract: Single-crystalline ZnTe hierarchical nanostructures have been successfully synthesized by a simple thermal evaporation technology. The as-prepared products were characterized with X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microcopy (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and photoluminescence spectrum (PL). These results showed that the ZnTe hierarchical nanostructures consisted of nanowires and nanolumps. The room temperature PL spectrum exhibited a pure green luminescence centered at 545nm. The growth mechanism of hierarchical nanostructure was also discussed.
Survival rate of initial azimuthal anisotropy in a multi-phase transport model

Abstract: We investigate the survival rate of an initial momentum anisotropy (${v}_2^{ini}$), not spatial anisotropy, to the final state in a multi-phase transport (AMPT) model in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$=200~GeV. It is found that both the final-state parton and charged hadron $v_2$ show a linear dependence versus $v_2^{ini}\{\rm PP\}$ with respect to the participant plane (PP). It is found that the slope of this linear dependence (referred to as the survive rate) increases with transverse momentum ($p_T$), reaching~$\sim$100\% at $p_T$$\sim$2.5 GeV/c for both parton and charged hadron. The survival rate decreases with collision centrality and energy, indicating decreasing survival rate with increasing interactions. It is further found that a $v_2^{ini}\{\rm Rnd\}$ with respect to a random direction does not survive in $v_2\{\rm PP\}$ but in the two-particle cumulant $v_2\{2\}$. The dependence of $v_2\{2\}$ on $v_2^{ini}\{\rm Rnd\}$ is quadratic rather than linear.
The Design of Surface Acoustic Wave Receiving Circuit Based on Piezoelectric Transducer  [PDF]

Abstract:
A type of Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) receiving circuit with high stability is introduced in this paper on the basis of analyzing common surface acoustic wave receiving circuits. The circuit design is based on receiving transducer and the center frequency is 1 MHz. This circuit includes pre-amplification electric circuit with high input impedance, automatic gain amplifying circuit based on VCA810, tertiary amplifying circuit, filter circuit and automatic voltage com-parison circuit. Receiving gate is used to preventing transmission pulse inter-feres the receipt signal. For better detecting the arrival time of receipt signal, voltage comparing circuit is served as examining the receipt signal, and meas-urement accuracy of acoustic transit time is improved substantially. By con-trast, amplification in three levels improves the circuit’s working stability. In addition, the circuit has the advantage of simple structure, signal stability and low manufacturing cost.
Structures and stability of (HAlNH n (n=1–15)

Abstract: The geometries, electronic states, vibrational spectra and thermodynamic properties for (HAINH) n clusters withn=1–15 have been investigated using theab initio DFT/B3LYP method with basis sets 6-31G* and their ground state structures obtained. Comparison of the (HAlNH) n with (AlN) n clusters shows that the skeletons of (HAlNH) n consist of four-membered and six-membered rings made of Al-N bonds, and either Al or N atom forms four bonds in which three ones are Al-N bonds and the rest is Al-H or N-H bond. The number of Al-N bonds of (HAlNH) n is equal to that of (AlN) n . The magic number regularity of (HAlNH) n isn=2, 4, 6, 8, etc., all of which are even numbers.
Meta-analyses of nine polymorphisms of six genes with the risk of schizophrenia  [PDF]

Abstract:

The aim of this study was to determine whether 9 genetic polymorphisms confered susceptibility to schizophrenia (SCZ). The authors conducted meta-analyses on associations between SCZ and 9 variants of 6 genes including PIK3C3 (432C > T), ABCB1 (C3435T and G2677T), CTLA4 (+49A/G), OLIG2 (rs762178), GAD1 (rs1978340, rs3749034 and rs769395), and GRIN1 (G1001C). A total of 34 case-control studies were involved in our meta-analyses. Our results showed no significant association between all the loci and SCZ. This meta-analysis confirmed a lack of association of SCZ for 9 genetic polymorphisms including GRIN1 G1001C, ABCB1 C3435T and G2677T, CTLA4 + 49A/G, OLIG2 rs762178, GAD1 gene rs1978340, rs3749034 and rs769395, and PIK3C3 432C > T.

Heavy metals contents in soil profiles of typical agricultural lands in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, China

Abstract: The effect of land use pattern on the heavy metals (HMs) distribution in soil profiles was investigated in Yixing City, China, for the four typical types of land utilization, i.e. vegetable fields on the plain, paddy fields, tea gardens on hilly lands and bamboo groves. The variance of HMs concentration in the depth of 0–15 cm, 15–30 cm, 30–60 cm of soil profiles was compared among the different tillage ages. Results showed there was a notable accumulation of Cd, Hg, Cu, Pb, Zn and Cr in the soil profiles of vegetable fields and paddy fields causing a pollution of Cu, Hg and Cd in some profiles, while no remarkable accumulation of HMs in the soil profiles of the tea gardens and bamboo groves was found. The accumulation extent of HMs in the soil profiles of the four kinds of land use followed a sequence of vegetable fields>paddy fields>tea gardens>bamboo groves. The accumulation of HMs was mainly due to the industry, transportation, other urban human activities, and intensive use of fertilizers and pesticides. The downward leaching of HMs was relatively remarkable in the soil profiles of vegetable fields. There was an accumulation in surface and subsurface layers for Cd, Hg, Pb, Zn in the soil profiles of paddy fields and tea gardens, and for Cd, Hg in those of bamboo groves. Serious pollution effects of Hg, Pb, and Zn have been shown in the soil of vegetable fields. All the four kinds of agricultural land are basically free from the pollution of the external sources of As and Ni. With the increase of tillage time, the soil of vegetable and paddy fields will face the potential risk of HMs pollution, which mainly comes from Hg, Cd and Cu, whereas that of tea gardens and bamboo groves faces a relatively small risk.
Structure and stability of boron nitride cages

Abstract: The structure and energy of boron nitrides (BN)n (n = 10 41), have been investigated theoretically. The most stable cages have been constructed on the basis of a simple design principle, and the predicated stability has been validated at the B3LYP/6-31G* level of theory. Among these, the Th, symmetrical (BN)12 cluster has been confirmed to be the most stable cage on the basis of the calculated disproportation energy and binding energy per BN unit.
