Open Access Library Journal (OALib Journal) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/oalib.1104448
Religious concepts of Karl Marx were reactionary and he considered religion as a tool in the hands of oppressors and further captions it as an essence of no individual and social value. His influence travelled with him and socialist philosophy took a new turn and started abolishing religious norms in order to build an all atheist culture. Marx linked religion with economy and financial prosperity and made it responsible for societal failure. This research initiative is based upon Marx’s writings and his sole contribution in the very right perspective of how he took the notion of religion? and strives to establish true position of religion as social phenomenon. The researcher focused to establish the fact that Marx’s criticism of religion was not the criticism of religion but the existing world where it is being implemented and practiced. This paper attempts to counter Marx’s religious confusions in the light of Islamic fundamentals and further tries to prove that Islam in its own capacity counters all the observations posed by Marx while referencing the word “religion”.

Journal of Service Science and Management (JSSM) , 2009, DOI: 10.4236/jssm.2009.23023
Abstract: Using ICT in the form of e-governance could yield great benefits in the reform and modernization of the public sector. The experience of e-governance in a number of developed and developing countries has shown that ICT can be a tool for greater service delivery with the goal of improving service quality. E-governance can also promote ‘good govern-ance’, that is, greater civic engagement can increase opportunities for direct representation and voice, and support for increased democracy. This paper discusses and presents the survey findings that seek to test the role of e-governance in improving service delivery by altering the principal-agent relationship. It further seeks to elucidate the quality aspects of public service. Policy recommendations to achieve the benefits of e-governance in Fiji are presented. Strong leadership is required to implement e-governance to capture and internalize the benefits of quality services and satisfied customers.

Surgical Science (SS) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ss.2012.37075
Abstract: Background: Vacuum-assisted dressing is a noninvasive closure system of the wound, which makes localized and controlled negative pressure. Its mechanical tension reduces edema, stimulates granulation tissue formation and angiogenesis, and prepares the wound bed for closure. In this study, a patient has been presented, who suffered from serious lower extremity wounds due to arterial emboli, one of her wounds has been treated with vacuum-assisted dressing and the other with conventional dressing to evaluate the efficacy of vacuum-assisted dressing in acute ischemic wounds. Methods: A 65-year-old female patient was admitted to the emergency clinic, due to complaint of severe pain in her right lower extremity which suggested an acute arterial occlusion. She immediately underwent an embolectomy operation; however, a few days later, severe ischemia on the leg and foot became appearant. All of the necrosis was sharply debrided under sterile conditions in the operating room, and then lower leg wound was covered with vacuum-assisted dressing, also calcaneal wound was dressed with silver sulphadiazine. Results: Eighteen days after the first dressing with negative pressure, distal leg wound became ready for closure, whereas, enough granulation tissue over the calcaneal area developed merely thirty-four days later. Calcaneal wound closed spontaneously within fifty-three days. Conclusions: When dealing with this experience, using the negative pressure dressing in patient with severe lower limb wounds following arterial emboli, accelerates wound healing by means of developing the granulation tissue, and rapidly prepares the wound for closure, so it may reduce the risk of amputation.

Abstract: Researches have focused their attention on articular cartilage of various bones but neglected suprapatella so thisstudy was designed to study the histological changes in fibrocartilage of suprapatella in rats while studying immobilization. Data Source: 20male Sprague Dawley rats were procured from animal house NIH Islamabad. Design of Study: Experimental. Setting: The study was carriedout at the animal house College of Physician and Surgeons Islamabad. Duration: The duration of study was 6 weeks from 01-06-2009 to 05-07-2009. Materials & Methods: A total of 20 male Sprague Dawley rats 3 months old were used. They were divided into two groups. Each groupcontained 10 animals. Group 1consisted of control animals that were not immobilized. Group 2 were immobilized for four weeks. The right hindlimbs of rats were immobilized with plaster of Paris cast. Care was taken to cover the knee joint completely. At the end of experimental period therats were anaesthetized with chloroform. The skin over knee joint was dissected and the joint along with supra patella was exposed. The kneejoint was cut in sagittal plane. It was stored in 10% formalin for 48 hours. Specimen was decalcified using Ethylene diamine tetra acid (EDTA).After processing for making paraffin blocks 10μm and 7 μm sections were cut from the same block and stained as given below. MalloryTrichrome stain was used for 10μm thick sections to demonstrate collagen content. H & E stain was used for 7 μm thick sections to study routinehistology of supra patellar articular cartilage. Results: On four weeks immobilization small necrotic areas were observed in the suprapatella andsplits were also observed. Conclusions: It is therefore concluded that suprapatella can be as prominent as the patella itself. It shows necroticchanges on immobilization and is present in a number of animals that are highly significant in orthopedic research.

Abstract: Background: Teaching of anatomy is based on cadaver dissection. Islamic values regarding permission of dead body use for learning purpose and recent introduction of Problem based learning has led to false belief that dissection is of no more help in understandingAnatomy. Objective: To access the views of post and under graduate students whether dissection sessions done at undergraduate level havehelped them in better understanding anatomy. Methods: Questionnaires were distributed among 60 postgraduate medical students and 60undergraduate students. The questionnaire comprised questions relating to experience of dissection for postgraduate students who have donedissection during their undergraduate classes. Results: There was a statistically significant % of students who found dissection beneficial for post graduation. Conclusion: Dissection should be a part of study in medical schools.

Abstract: Although eucalyptus is regarded as having resistance to various insect pests and diseases, it can also suffer from heavy attacks by the eucalyptus longhorned borer, Phoracantha semipunctata (Fab.). In Morocco, this introduced pest was reported for the first time in Selouane, 9km from Nador, by Chararas in 1973. The species appears to have been rare until 1980-1981, but the exceptional drought occurring from 1980 to 1986 probably contributed to its installation and dispersal in Morocco. Nowadays this pest can be found widespread throughout the country, from Oujda in the east to the Atlantic coast and from Tangiers in the north to Agadir in the south. In this study we compare the resilience of different eucalyptus species from various arboretums within Morocco and the relation with attacks by the longhorned borer. The results reveal the existence of differences in adaptation of the different eucalyptus species according to their biotope and bark, influencing their susceptibility and resistance to attacks by P. semipunctata.

Journal of Water Resource and Protection (JWARP) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/jwarp.2015.76039
Abstract: Karst groundwater constitutes the main resource for drinking water supply in Chefchaouen region, North Morocco. However, the karstic aquifers are highly vulnerable to the pollution because of the deforestation which favors the soil erosion and the landslides. Therefore, the groundwater is loaded with suspended sediment. The fertilizers disseminated for agriculture can also infiltrate and concentrate in the saturated zone of the aquifer. In this study, the geographic information system (GIS) provides an effective tool for groundwater contamination risk assessment, because it facilitates multicriteria analysis and updates the models developed. The EPIK model based on GIS uses four environmental parameters (Epikarst, Protective cover, Infiltration condition and Karst network development) to evaluate the intrinsic vulnerability of groundwater contamination potential. Each of these parameters is presented as a thematic map. After adding all data, the final result provides vulnerability map according to the protection factor relation based on which the protection zones’ map is created.
