Abstract:
Since the implementation of the revitalization strategy, Northeast China has undergone great changes in safeguarding the national grain security and confronted with many problems in developing the modern agriculture. It is necessary to find out measures to promote the development of modern agriculture. The volume of grain production in Northeast China accounts for 19.27% of the whole country and is still on the rise. The proportion of grain crops increases rapidly, and the proportion of non-grain crops continues to decline. The structure of grain crops tends to be dominated by maize, rice, and soybean. The planting structure of the three major grain crops has changed significantly, and maize has an absolute advantage. Confronted with the problems of agricultural science and technology level, infrastructure, market circulation, system and mechanism, Northeast China should take the road of modern agricultural development with local characteristics through regulating the production structure, implementing large-scale operation, building the whole industry chain, making scientific and technological innovation, and preventing risks.

Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Ni(C16H32N4)]Br2·2H2O, consists of one half [Ni(C16H32N4)]2+ cation, one Br anion and one water molecule of crystallization. The NiII ion lies on an inversion centre in a square-planar environment formed by the four macrocyclic ligand N atoms. In the crystal structure, the cations, anions and water molecules are linked via intermolecular N—H...Br and O—H...Br hydrogen bonds, forming discrete chains with set-graph motif D(2)D22(7)D21(3)D32(8). The water molecules and Br ions are linked with set-graph motif R42(8).
By Sector Water Consumption and Related Economy Analysis Integrated Model and Its Application in Hai River Basin, China  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper established a by sector water consumption and economy analysis integrated model with input–output analysis method. The model can be used to identify the relationships between economic activities and the direct water consumption, the total water consumption and the intersectoral water transaction for detailed sectors in regional economy. The method is applied to Hai River Basin in China that is characterized by water shortage. The results found that in Hai River Basin, agriculture sector is responsible for 81.2% of the direct total water consumption in the region, but industrial and service sectors account for 53.2% of the indirect total water consumption. To 24 industrial and service sectors, their ratios of indirect water consumption to total water consumption belong to [90%, 99%]. To per unit output, water consumption intensity was highest in agriculture sector 1 at 96.91 m3 per thousand Yuan, the value of 28 industrial and service sectors were smaller than 1. Products of sector 1, sector 24, sector 3, sector 12, sector 6, sector 11 and sector 10 are the main suppliers of indirect water.
A novel approach for assessing the susceptibility of Escherichia coli to antibiotics

Abstract: The dynamic growth process of Escherichia coli CVCC249 under different concentrations of antibiotics was analyzed. The results suggested that the main reason that definitive results cannot be obtained by antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) is that the ratio of drug concentration to the population of bacteria and the combined effect of drug concentration and action time cannot be completely determined with the methods used. Based on the analysis of the growth process with a series of concentrations of gentamicin acting for a certain time, and according to the forward difference method, a novel method for AST was proposed. The net increase in turbidity of the bacterial population was used to eliminate the existing effects of resting cells, and then the recurrent coefficient for a growing sequence was used to characterize the effect of antibiotics on bacterial division, and the contour plot was used to display and analyze the combined effect of drug concentration and action time. The inhibition rate of the antibiotics can be characterized as the dynamic change in the composite function of the antibiotic concentration and action time, which indicated that the inhibition rate was dependent on the combined effect of time and concentration of antibiotics. The effectiveness of this new method has been verified with different kinds of antibiotics, such as enrofloxacin, levofloxacin, and ceftriaxone, having different antibacterial mechanisms.
Effects of deposition parameters on the properties of VO2 thin films

Abstract: The vanadium oxide thin films are deposited for microbolometers by radio frequency reactive sputtering method at room temperature. The effects of the oxygen partial pressure on the deposition rate, electrical properties and compositions of the films are discussed. The as-deposited VOx thin films with x value of nearly 2 are deposited by adjusting the oxygen partial pressure. After oxidation annealing of these films in air, the VO2 films with high temperature coefficients of resistivity (about -4%/℃) and low resistivity can be obtained. The square resistances of the films are in the range of 100 kΩ/squ?300 kΩ/squ. All films are deposited at room temperature and annealed at 400℃, in which the compatibility between VOx deposition process and MEMS (micro electromechanical systems) is greatly improved.

Response of lymphocyte subsets and cytokines to Shenyang prescription in Sprague-Dawley rats with tongue squamous cell carcinomas induced by 4NQO

Abstract: 4-Nitroquinoline-1-oxide (4NQO) was administered to 80 Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats via the drinking water for up to 36 weeks. Tongue squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) was confirmed by pathological examination in 61 rats. "Shenyang" prescription was administered to subgroups of these rats, and blood samples were taken before and after treatment. Lymphocyte subsets were determined by flow cytometry. Serum Th1 and Th2-type cytokines were assessed by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.As the cancer progressed at the tongue root, the percentage of CD3+CD4+ T lymphocytes and NK cells and the levels of IFN-γ and IL-2 decreased gradually, while the percentage of CD3+CD8+ T lymphocytes and the levels of IL-4 and IL-10 increased. The CD4+/CD8+ ratios were lower in the cancer groups than in the control group. However, after administering "Shenyang" prescription, the levels of CD3+CD4+ T lymphocytes, NK cells, IFN-γ and IL-2 increased, while the CD3+CD8+ T lymphocyte counts and the levels of IL-4 and IL-10 decreased.4NQO-induced lesions were good models for exploring oral cavity carcinogenesis. The rats with 4NQO-induced SCC demonstrated abnormalities in lymphocyte subsets and a shift from Th1-type to Th2-type, which were good models for assessing the effect of anticancer agent on immunity. Oral cancer progression was associated with an aggressive disturbance of immune function. "Shenyang" prescription has the ability to improve the disturbance of immune function.Oral cancer is a major global public health problem, causing high morbidity and mortality that have not improved in decades [1]. Detection of TNT by a molecularly imprinted polymer film-based surface plasmon resonance sensor

Abstract: A surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor using a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) film as a recognition element for detection of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) was developed. The TNT-imprinted polymer film was prepared by thermo initiated polymerization on the bare Au surface of an SPR sensor chip. Template TNT molecules were quickly removed with an organic solution of acetonitrile/acetic acid (9:1, v/v), causing a shift of 0.7° in SPR angle. The limit of detection for TNT was demonstrated to be as low as 1×10 8 mol/L. In the concentration range of 1×10 8 1×10 5 mol/L, the change of SPR angle was linear with the negative logarithm of TNT concentration. Selectivity studies showed that the SPR sensor had no response to TNT analogues 2,4,5-trinitrotoluene and 1,3,5-trinitrohexahydro-1,3,5-triazine at a concentration of 1×10 4 mol/L. The results suggest that the SPR sensor combined with a MIP film has the advantages of high sensitivity and selectivity, and long-term stability toward the analyte TNT.

Abstract: Laser surface alloying with carbon was employed to modify the surface properties of TiAl intermetallics. The rapidly solidified "in-situ" wear resistant composite reinforced by titanium carbide was produced in the laser modified surface layer. The microstructure of the laser alloyed surface layer was studied as a function of the laser processing parameters.

Abstract: Well-defined poly (ionic liquid) brushes with tunable wettability are successfully synthesized via nitroxide-mediated radical polymerization. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, attenuated total reflection infrared spectroscopy and static water contact angle measurements are used to monitor each step. Ellipsometry, nuclear magnetic resonance (1H and 13C) spectra and gel permeation chromatographic measurements reveal that there is a linear increase in polymer film thickness with polymerization time, indicating that chain growth from the surface is a controlled/“living” polymerization. The surface morphology was measured by atomic force microscopy. Moreover, the surfaces of the poly (ionic liquid) brushes with tunable wettability and reversible switching between hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity can be easily achieved by counteranion exchange.
