Abstract: Chicken is a main poultry in China. Molecular breeding for disease resistance plays an important role in the control of diseases, especially infectious diseases. Choice of genes for disease resistance is the key technology of molecular breeding. The MHC is of great interest to poultry breeding scientists for its extraordinary polymorphism and close relation with traits of resistance against infectious diseases. The article gives a detailed introduction about the association of MHC gene polymorphisms with traits of resistance against infectious diseases in chickens and looks towards the future of application of MHC in molecular breeding of chicken for disease resistance.
过去典型增温期黄土高原东西部C3/C4植物组成变化特征

Abstract: 过去典型增温时段的自然植被演化规律是未来增温情形下植被变化趋势的重要参照。黄土高原全新世中期(4~8kaB.P.)和末次间冰期(80~110kaB.P.)温度分别比现高约1.2℃和2~5℃,是揭示过去不同增温幅度下植被演化的理想时段。通过对黄土高原东西部黄土-古土壤序列有机碳同位素(δ13Corg.)对比研究表明:在全新世中期黄土高原东西部有机碳同位素变化一致,相对末次盛冰期表现为正偏2.2‰~2.9‰,指示C4植物丰度增加。而在末次间冰期黄土高原东、西部不同地貌单元有机碳同位素结果产生空间分异,相对末次盛冰期西部梁峁区表现为负偏约0.8‰,指示C4植物丰度减少,而东部塬区则表现为正偏0.9‰~4.0‰,指示C4植物丰度增加。由于上述典型时段大气CO2浓度相近且温度升高,末次间冰期与全新世中期黄土高原C4植物丰度变化的差异可能与降水增加的季节性变化有关。上述结果表明,在过去典型增温期不同增温幅度下黄土高原东、西部不同地貌单元植被演化呈现明显不同。

Abstract: Taishan mountain is located in central Shandong Province.There are 757 species seed plants belonging to 407 genera and 100 families (3 sp.of 3 gen.among 2 fam.of gymnosperms and 754 sp.of 404 gen.among 98 fam.of angiosperms) in this flora.In the 407 genera, there are 11 world monotypic genera and 40 world oligotypic ones, which make up 12.5% of the total.Most of them are phylogenetically ancient or primitive.This means the seed plants flora of Taishan mountain is characteristically of ancient origin.According to Prof.C.Y.Wu's theory on the areal-types of the genera of China's seed plants flora, all the 407 genera in this flora can be classified to 15 types, mainly comosing of North Temperate(34.5%),Pantropic(19.1%) ,Old World Temperate(14.3%)and East Asia(10.1%).The genera of temperate areal-types make up 72.2%,taking a predominated position, while those of tropical ones only acount for 27.8%,which shows that the seed plants flora of Taishan mountain is of a temperate feature,and has something with tropical flora.
A FLORISTIC STUDY ON THE PTERIDOPHYTE IN SHANDONG PROVINCE OF CHINA

Abstract: This paper deals with the floristic components,geographical distribution and ecological environments of the Pteridophyte in Shandong. The floristic relationships between Shandong and some other regions are also disscussed. The results show that: 1. The floristic elements are relatively not rich, however, the geographical elements are varied. All the 40 genera can be classified into 10 areal-types, mainly composed of the North Temperate(30.0%), the Pantropical(22.55%), and the Cosmopolitan(20.0%).The areal-types of temperate account for 42.5%, taking a predominant position, while those of tropic account for 37.5%. 2. Endemism is remarkable, 12 species of Pteridophyte, which make up 11.3% of the total numbers, are endemic to this province. 3. The geographical distribution is fairly uneven, The number of species are decreased from South to North and from East to West. 4. The similar quotents of Pteridophyte flora between Shandong and Liaoning, Beijing, Henan, Qinling, Japan, Hainan, Xizang are 46.4%, 45.3% , 41.2%, 26.0%, 24.8%,4.7%, 3.8% respectively in sequence order. This means that this flora is most similar to Liaoning, and then to Beijing and Henan.
MONTE CARLO SIMULATION OF POLYMER CHAIN COMFORMATIONS: COMFORMATIONAL ENTROPY OF SINGLE CHAIN

Abstract: In this paper a new approximate method, which is called "The Conformational Counting Method", for estimating the Conformational entropy of polymer chains has been proposed. The method is applied to random self-avoiding walks on simple cubic lattice. In the range of chain step number n= 7~19 the entropy data obtained by this method are consistent perfectly with their precise value and the deviation is smaller than 0.04% (sample sizes- 2,000). In the range of n up to 26 of chains confined in a cubic box of side length 2 the entropy data are consistent very good also with their precise value obtained by means of directly counting all conformations. The deviation is smaller than 0.6% (sample sizes ~2,000). In the range of n up to 2,100 of free chains, the entropy -data confirm the renormalization group prediction:where k is Boltzmann constant,u = 4.6838, r = 7/6 and C0 = 1.17. For all chain step number deviations are negative and within 0.8%(sample sizes~ 300). The way to improve the accuracy is suggested.

Abstract: he concepts of two concentrations,namely segmental and molecular concentrations for polymer blends has been proposed.The former is equivalent to the ordinary volume fraction and the latter is defined as the number of the chain heads in the unit volume for every polymer component.The entropy part of the Flory-Huggins free energy should be represented by the molecular concentration, and the mixing heat part should be represented by the segmental concentration.The two concentrations will be correlated each other by the conformational function of the said polymer chain. When neglecting the conformational fluctuation and considering only the influence of the molecular concentration fluctuation,the de Gennes scattering function for polymer binary blends has been deduced on the basis of the general thermodynamical fluctuation theory.
THE SCALING LAW OF POLYMER IN SEMIDILUTE SOLUTION BY MONTE CARLO SIMULATION

Abstract: In this paper the scaling law of linear and starlike polymer comformations in semidilute solution has been veritified by Monte Carlo simulation method. Our results indicated that the scaling law of the osmotic pressure II of polymer solution is agreement of the theory perdicat-ed by de Gennes. Forthermore, it has been obtained that the scaling behaviours of a starlike polymer are as same as a linear polymer chain.
