Donoso,Catalina;
Aisthesis , 2010, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-71812010000100007
Abstract: el chacal de nahueltoro is not only one of the most important films in the chilean cinema as a whole, but it is particularly a key work in the so-called new chilean cinema. the present article attempts to explore the contradictions and tensions between people's representation and the audience appeal portrayed at the same time in the people's image displayed in the film. the analysis of the concept of "the "people" and the role of the spectator become more complex in a context where cinema is conceived as an element of social change, foregrounding the audience's active participation and its close relation to the film itself.
Anosognosia en enfermedades cerebrales
Donoso,Archibaldo;
Revista chilena de neuro-psiquiatría , 2002, DOI: 10.4067/S0717-92272002000200008
Abstract: many theories have arisen concerning anosognosia, the lack of awareness of neurological defects or illness, and confabulations. it may occur in cases of hemiplegia; visual defects including hemianopia, unilateral neglect and cerebral blindness; in amnesia, aphasia, and dementias. these topics are briefly reviewed. the role of emotional factors, deafferentation, lack of initiative and general cognitive defects are discussed. it is concluded that there is a psychopathological relation between the defect, anosognosia and confabulation. we postulate a functional system of awareness, with peripheral units specific to different afferent or efferent systems, and a nuclear unit in the prefrontal areas
La enfermedad de Alzheimer
Donoso,Archibaldo;
Revista chilena de neuro-psiquiatría , 2003, DOI: 10.4067/S0717-92272003041200003
Abstract: alzheimer?s disease is the most frequent cause of dementia. it usually evolves in three stages; hippocampic (mnesic disorder), occipito-temporo-parietal (speech disorder, apraxia and gerstmann syndrome) and global (extrapiramidal symptoms). other forms of presentation are mixed dementia (ad and cerebrovascular disease) and mild cognitive disorder (does not meet all diagnostic criteria for ad). this article reviews epidemiological data and diagnostic criteria and comments on difficulties for differential diagnosis. treatment is briefly reviewed, emphazising the importance of psychosocial care and the need for further research
Donoso,Jaime;
Teología y vida , 2009, DOI: 10.4067/S0049-34492009000100021
Abstract: the author uses his experience as a musical interpreter as a starting point, and attempts to demonstrate that the explanation of the essence of music, and mozart′s music in particular, is not exhausted by purely musicological analysis. for this purpose the author bases himself on the ideas of von balthasar as well as the words of pope benedict xvi, both deeply fond of mozart. their conclusions relate to the idea of a theology of beauty.

La enfermedad de Alzheimer Alzheimer’s disease
Archibaldo Donoso

The author uses his experience as a musical interpreter as a starting point, and attempts to demonstrate that the explanation of the essence of music, and Mozart′s music in particular, is not exhausted by purely musicological analysis. For this purpose the author bases himself on the ideas of von Balthasar as well as the words of Pope Benedict XVI, both deeply fond of Mozart. Their conclusions relate to the idea of a theology of beauty.
