Abstract: Higher order MHD flow of a uniformity stretched vertical permeable surface in the presence of heat generation absorption which resulted from a quadratic reaction was studied. Analytical solutions were obtained and the results were graphically displayed for all heat absorption and heat generated conditions.
Effect of Power Law Microwave Heating on the Temperature Profiles of Biological Tissues

Abstract: The behavior of temperature profile in biological tissue under going power Law microwave heating of the form Q (T) = Tm ; m 1 is investigated analytically by seeking solution to the coupled Maxwell’s -bio-heat equations. An asymptotic series analysis method was introduced in one of the two regions of the simplified model. Adequate matching procedure was invoked. The results agreed with the result in the numerical work of for m = 1.Further insights were given by the results that will promote medical care and preferential heating of the diseased tissues.

Abstract:
The objective of this study is to consider the flow of temperature dependent viscosity and thermal conductivity of free convective heat and mass transfer of viscoelastic fluid over a stretching surface with nth order of chemical reaction and thermophoresis. The effect of the temperature dependent dynamic viscosity and thermal conductivity together with modified thermal and solutal Grashof numbers are properly accounted for in order to enhance the transport phenomenon. Similarity transformations are used to convert and parameterize the non-linear partial differential equation to a system of coupled non-linear ordinary differential equation. The approximate analytical solutions of the corresponding BVP are obtained through Optimal Homotopy Analysis Method (OHAM). The effect of some pertinent parameters is tested on velocity, temperature, concentration profiles. It is observed from the computation that, the thickness of the velocity and thermal boundary layer increases with an increase in temperature dependent variable viscosity and thermal conductivity parameters when modified thermal and solutal Grashof numbers and are less than zero. It is also observed that the concentration layer becomes thinner with increasing thermophoresis parameter when the chemical reaction parameter is greater than zero for both cases of first and second order of chemical reaction i.e. when n=1,2.

Abstract: Life arose as a non-equilibrium thermodynamic process to dissipate the photon potential generated by the hot Sun and cold outer space. Evidence from the geochemical record of the evolutionary history of life on Earth suggests that life originated in a hot aqueous environment dissipating UV light and evolved later to dissipate visible light. This evidence places constraints on models of solar origin and evolution. The standard solar model seems less compatible with the data than does the pulsar centered solar model.
Comparative Assessment of Corrosion Behaviour of MCS and KS7 SS in Saline and Carbonate Environments  [PDF]

Abstract: The major objective of this experimental study is to investigate and compare the corrosion resistance of medium Carbon steel (MCS) and KS7 stainless steel in saline and sodium carbonate environments. The MCS and KS7 SS were exposed to 0.5 M each of NaCl and Na2CO3 solutions for a period of 36 days. The weight loss was taken every 3 days in order to evaluate CPR. The results obtained showed that KS7 SS generally offers a better corrosion resistance than the MCS in the selected media. While MCS is found to be inappropriate alloy in saline and sodium carbonate environments, KS7 SS is an unfailing choice material for manufacturing machines and other engineering amenities in which their service lives are predominant in Na2CO3 medium and fairly pleasing in NaCl environment.

Abstract: The influence of alumina volume percent and solution heat-treatment on the corrosion behaviour of Al (6063) composites and its monolithic alloy in salt water, basic and acidic environments is investigated. Al (6063) – Al2O3 particulate composites containing 6, 9, 15, and 18 volume percent alumina were produced by adopting two step stir casting. Mass loss and corrosion rate measurements were utilized as criteria for evaluating the corrosion behaviour of the composites. It is observed that Al (6063) – Al2O3 composites exhibited excellent corrosion resistance in NaCl medium than in the NaOH and H2SO4 media. The unreinforced alloy exhibited slightly superior corrosion resistance than the composites in NaCl and NaOH media but the composites had better corrosion resistance in H2SO4 medium. Furthermore, solution heat-treatment resulted in improved corrosion resistance for both the composites and the unreinforced alloy while the effect of volume percent alumina on corrosion resistance did not follow a consistent trend.

Abstract: A novel statistical angle-of-arrival (AOA) model for indoor geolocation applications is presented. The modeling approach focuses on the arrivals of the multipath components with respect to the line-of-sight (LOS) path which is an important component especially when indoor geolocation applications are considered. The model is particularly important for indoor applications where AOA information could be utilized for tracking indirect paths to aid in precise ranging in harsh and dense multipath environments where LOS path might be blocked due to obstructions. The results have been obtained by a measurement calibrated ray-tracing (RT) tool.
Homotopy Analysis of MHD Free Convective Micropolar Fluid Flow along a Vertical Surface Embedded in Non-Darcian Thermally-Stratified Medium  [PDF]

Abstract: The dynamics of steady, two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) free convective flow of micropolar fluid along a vertical porous surface embedded in a thermally stratified medium is investigated. The ratio of pressure drop caused by liquid-solid interactions to that of pressure drop caused by viscous resistance are equal; hence, the non-Darcy effect is properly accounted for in the momentum equation. The temperature at the wall and at the free stream which best accounts for thermal stratification are adopted. Similarity transformations are used to convert the nonlinear partial differential equation to a system of coupled non-linear ordinary differential equation and also to parameterize the governing equations. The approximate analytical solution of the corresponding BVP are obtained using Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM). The effects of stratification parameter, thermal radiation and other pertinent parameters on velocity, angular velocity and temperature profiles are shown graphically. It is observed that increase in the stratification parameter leads to decrease in both velocity and temperature distribution and also makes the microrotation distribution to increase near the plate and decrease away from the plate. The influence of both thermal stratification and exponential space dependent internal heat source on velocity, micro-rotation and temperature profiles are presented. The comparison of the solutions obtained using analytical techniques (HAM) and MATLAB package (bvp4c) is shown and a good agreement is observed.

Abstract: Tendencies of integration of visual impaired children to the mass schools as well as significant value of information-communication technologies (ICT) in the education of these children require corresponding training of primary school teachers. The purpose of this article is to analyse the approaches to the concept of ICT-competence with further definition of primary school teacher’s tifloinformation competences. Literature analysis has discovered that there is no connection between ICT-competences and pupil with visual impairments yet. As a result, the list of primary school teacher’s tifloinformation competences was formulated. The objective of further investigations consist in the development of techniques essential for creation of corresponding competences. Abstract: Informatization of education is an integral part of society informatization, it reflects general trends of globalization development processes in the world, existing as the determining basis of information and communication development of education, the harmonious development of personality and socio-economic systems of society. Today, informatization of education is developing spontaneously, its consequences are deeply controversial, so this trend demands the understanding, assessment and strategy (model).
