Inheritance and Identity of Cultural Heritage  [PDF]

Abstract:

Generally the community describesthe “cultural heritage” such as historic, artistic, scientific and traditional. These definitions often coincide with the attribution of “value” and “identity”. Many answers about what could “cultural heritage” be are explained as a set together with their specific value, such as landscape and architecture of high artistic value and historic materials of scientific value. In contrast it is not possible to rely on this generality of definitions. The reality shows that the definition of value of “cultural heritage” changes in relation to the person, culture, geography, social and economic conditions. In other words, in relation to the person, the standpoint of value of “cultural heritage” is different according to each category, such as ruins, works of art, historic cities and gardens, and it is rare that one category simultaneously holds many of such values. It is believed that there are no words or phrases that comprehensively explain the various values that prescribe “cultural heritage”. Therefore in defining “cultural heritage” its values not must be specifically expressed as historic, artistic, scientific and others, but should be left in a way that can correspond also to the concept of a “cultural heritage” the significance of identity and of inheritance. Define the value of cultural heritage means to analyze the identity of the site and its contents of inheritance. The concepts of value and inheritance analyzed here are not related to economic considerations. Differently these concepts are analyzed with reference to scientific theories of A.K. Sen, M. W. Feldman and L. Cavalli-Sforza. In fact this paper proposes a reflection on these concepts with the support of interdisciplinary studies.

Abstract: in accordance with the rigorous discipline of the restoration, at the end of the nineteenth century, alois riegl focused his interest on ethical, political, sociological, moral and cultural reasons giving more emphasis on the stability of the values of the work and not on the purely aesthetic subjective assessment. the principal purpose is the preservation of existing values in monuments. the recognition of the values can be seen as the principal reference of a good job of preservation and is primarily supported by the urban scale. in a social context increasingly pressed from global interests often unrelated to the identity of the individual, it is difficult to speak on the conservation of the heritage (monumental and urban) if we not identify the values to be preserved that, at the same time, meet the needs of the community. the contribution intends to tackle the analysis of the concept of values. values that are necessary to know in detail to implement a sustainable conservation of monuments and cities.

Abstract: this paper documents the academic experience made with the course of architecture, university of pisa, in collaboration with the western galilee college in akko (israel) and the israel antiquities authority in order to achieve a project to restore the old acre development company of akko. fundamental aspect of this restoration project is the integrated conservation, which implies the knowledge and dialogue between social and cultural values together the story. the purpose of historic preservation is the respect with its authenticity and integrity, including the urban space. this work is shows the interest of city of akko in the redemption of cultural identity, purpose, expressed both in its institutional mission as well as the fact-specific to take the theme of restoration for one of the most important buildings of the historic center. the works, still take place under the control of the old acre development company of akko and unesco.

Abstract: The world is entering a new era - a time when economic wealth is created by knowledgeand skills and the human capital of nations, regions and cities will determine the winnersfrom the loosers. The paper is focused on the human capital’s performance of the romanianregions, measured by economic growth and employment, analysing statistical data fromeuropean sources. There are differences between regions regarding the human capitalendowment, employment and economic growth. The assumption of a positive correlationbetween these variables is partially confirmed. Further researches are needed to measure theimpact of other factors such as: human migration or attractivity of regions. Designing anddeveloping regional human capital strategies would be a good starting point for a positiveperspective of the Europe 2020 strategy implementation.
Romania and Europe 2020: how far we are?

Abstract: The Europe 2020 strategy, launched in 2010 by the European Commission, continues the 2000 Lisbon Agenda, by upgrading its targets and completing them with new ones (regarding the green economy and inclusiv growth). The aim of the paper is to analyze the situation of Romania, by discussing the values of the eight statistical indicators measuring the EU 2020 targets and by formulating suggestions and proposals for policy makers.
Trasmissione intergenerazionale di memoria e rappresentabilità dei passati traumatici

Abstract: Il contributo propone una riflessione sulla rappresentazione letteraria e artistica della Shoah e sul contributo di tale rappresentazione alla conoscenza ed alla memoria. Partendo dallo studio di diverse graphic novel contemporanee si affronta la questione della trasmissione della Shoah alle nuove generazioni e del ruolo che le narrazioni mediali hanno nella costruzione e rielaborazione collettiva del ricordo dei passati traumatici. A fronte di tale questione ci sono determinati problemi. Da un lato, si registra l'indebolirsi del senso storico degli individui, per effetto di processi contemporanei come la frammentazione dei percorsi biografici; la dislocazione spazio-temporale; la presentificazione dell'esperienza. Dall'altro lato, si evidenzia la difficoltà di trasmettere il passato, in particolare per la società italiana debolmente capace di compiere una riflessione autocritica su stessa e sulle ambiguità della propria storia nazionale. A tali problemi si lega la questione del rapporto tra costruzione della memoria e testimonianza, diretta o mediata. Negli ultimi anni, il venir meno dei testimoni della Shoah per ragioni anagrafiche apre per la memoria strade nuove e complesse, spostando l'asse di trasmissione del passato dal versante della memoria vissuta a quello della memoria culturale. Si tratta di quella che Marianne Hirsch ha definito post-memoria, uno spazio discorsivo in cui la possibilità di venire a conoscenza del passato dipende da un processo di rielaborazione di ogni vicenda a partire da racconti ed immagini mediati da testi. L'analisi di ciascuno di questi testi riguarda l'intero sistema di rappresentazione pubblica del passato, l'universo di immagini e narrazioni in cui la cultura memoriale prende forma e attraverso cui si realizza il processo di rielaborazione dei traumi collettivi.

Abstract: Los cambios en la práctica docente de los profesores subrayan la utilización de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) en la clase de matemáticas. La concepción de la escuela, la forma en que la ense anza tiene lugar en el aula, las actividades y tareas propuestas a los estudiantes y las competencias que los estudiantes deben desarrollar son algunos de los cambios que deben tenerse en mente. El maestro de matemáticas del siglo XXI debe desarrollar competencias diferentes a las incluidas en los objetivos de su formación inicial. En este escenario, surge la siguiente pregunta: Podrá el profesor alcanzar el paso de aquellos expertos que introducen en el currículo de la educación matemática el uso de TIC en el aula? Changes in teachers’ practices underlie the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) within mathematics classrooms. The school’s conception, the way that teaching is carried out in the classroom, activities and tasks proposed to the students, and competencies students must develop, are some of the changes that have to be taken into consideration. The mathematics teacher of the twenty first century must develop competencies that were not expected in his/her initial teacher training. Within this scenario, a question can be raised: Can mathematics teachers keep pace with the experts who introduce ICT in the classroom?

Abstract: The image of a destination is more than a distinguishing element; it is a component of the supply and brings more value to it. The image of a destination can be the decisive component, while the other elements re relatively alike (1). The image of a tourist destination is strongly connected to the image of a country, the image of a nation and the image of a place. The image of a place is formed for a receiver naturally by accumulating experiences with that place, the use of the sources of personal and impersonal information. For the transmitter, the image is the result of some direct and indirect actions. The branding of the place is the conscientious and coordinated process of an image achievement. In the paper there are presented some examples of actions of image research, an essential step having in view the branding or re-branding It is presented a study of the citizens of Oradea regarding their perception of tourist Romania.
