Desarrollo kinesiológico: la interpretación de un proceso para facilitar el movimiento corporal humano
Rojas Rojas,Marlen;
Revista Ciencias de la Salud , 2006,
Abstract: this article makes a review about the process of functional movement production along first year of life, within the framework of kinesiology, where trunk is considered stabilizer and main axis in motor execution of extremities. the present review facilitates understanding of basic motor elements needed to develop a more complex and functional activity, which strengthen professional skills to observe, evaluate and focus its action in managing persons with motor functional disability. this information result from a literature review relates to normal movement development of human body segments and direct observance of the normal and abnormal process on several children for more than 12 years of professional experience. in general, this review stands out the relationship between activities of each corporal segment with others rather than showing isolated parts and, in the same way; it remarks production of simultaneous mechanics events which have different functional purposes.

Andrés Cartín Rojas
American Journal of Industrial and Business Management (AJIBM) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ajibm.2013.35058
Abstract:

Ensuring food safety is a key and crucial factor for those agro-exporting nations seeking to improve their competitiveness, opening new options for global markets and positioning their products at a better price. A number of international guidelines serve a reference framework for defining national public policies aimed to provide safe food to the population. Veterinary services act as guarantors in this process along all the manufacture and value chain. The public and private veterinary services are nurtured and amalgamate together to ensure the attainment of common goals; strengthen and foment a robust and efficient alimentary legislation by using the World Animal Health Organization’s normative as a standard reference. In this conceptual paper, an appraisal about the interrelationship and the interconnection between veterinary professionals and the sanitary management of food hygiene is widely developed by reviewing relevant literature, and discussing current trends. The author adopts an inductive approach, designed to generate understanding and propositions about this relevant topic.

Poverty determinants of acute respiratory infections among Mapuche indigenous peoples in Chile's Ninth Region of Araucania, using GIS and spatial statistics to identify health disparities
Flavio Rojas
International Journal of Health Geographics , 2007, DOI: 10.1186/1476-072x-6-26
Abstract: Hospital discharge records from Health Services North N = 24,126 patients, year 2003, and 7 hospitals), Health Services South (N = 81,780 patients and 25 hospitals); CAS-2/Family records (N = 527,539 individuals, 439 neighborhoods, 32 Comunas).Given the over-dispersion of data and the clustered nature of observations, we used the global Moran's I and General G Gettis-Ord procedures to test spatial dependence. These tests confirmed the clusters of disease and the need to use spatial regression within a General Linear Mixed Model perspective.Health outcomes indicate significantly higher morbidity rates for the Mapuche compared to non-Mapuche in both age groups < 5 and 15–44, respectively; for the groups 70–79 and 80 + years of age, this trend is reversed. Mortality rates, however, are higher among Mapuches than non-Mapuches for the entire Ninth Region and for all age groups. Mortality caused by respiratory infections is higher among Mapuches than non-Mapuches in all age-groups. A major finding is the link between poverty and respiratory infections.Poverty is significantly associated with respiratory infections in the population of Chile's Ninth Region. High deprivation areas are associated with poverty, and poverty is a predictor of respiratory infections. Mapuches are at higher risk of deaths caused by respiratory infections in all age groups. Exponential and spherical spatial correlation models were tested to estimate the previous association and were compared with non-spatial Poisson, concluding that significant spatial variability was present in the data.This article addresses some aspects of the relationship between poverty and disease. The study area is located in Chile's Ninth Region, also known as Araucanía, the poorest of the country's 13 regions, and one where income distribution reveals inequality that is not only the worst in the country, but the worst in the world, with a Gini coefficient of 0.58 [1,2]. The main goal of this article is to show the link be
Nación y Nacionalismo en el debate teórico e historiográfico de finales del siglo XX
Rojas,Reinaldo;
Investigación y Postgrado , 2004,
Abstract: this research has as purpose a partial synthesis on the actual debate about nation and nationalism that has developed in the fields of historiography and social science in the last two decades of the twentieth century. after setting the debate in the context of the demise of socialism, the advancement of the economic globalization and the accelerated growth of tecnotronic and the information revolution, different factors are being studied that have had a strong influence in the awakening of nationalisms and the contemporary national state crisis through those authors that, from different theoretical and ideological perspectives have set renewed points of view of the national fact. starting with the ideological antecedents of the xix century and of the marxist debate of the first decades of the xx century, the statements of different authors and their works such as eric hobsbawm, pierre vilar, benedit anderson, ernest gellner, pierre fougeyrollas and etienne balibar have been analyzed to finish with an approximation to the national fact in latin america and the caribbean area, all of it framed as a socio-historic, political and cultural problem that proposes the opening of a historiography debate about the real construction of regional identities that can really be a certain path for the permanent construction of an idea of nation in our continent.
?Qué hay de nuevo, viejo?: la tragicomedia de cualquier docente de literatura grecolatina de la Universidad de Los Andes - Mérida
Rojas,Clea;
Educere , 2005,
Abstract: this paper is a personal reflection, from an observation made by a teacher on the different attitudes and aptitudes of the heterogeneous mass who are the students. however, they have in common the curricular obligation of taking a subject, which assumes a closing to the very important world of the greco latin literature. we focused here on the latin literature module at the school of letters of the university of los andes, mérida. with all possible love and humour for the teaching of humanism, and with (may be) the advantage of not having a generational gap to wide with the students, we wander if it is possible to make the students sensitive to the books of an empire which through its culture has marked humanism; taking advantage of the new perspective technology, media and mediatic means offer on roman culture, no pretending to touch them, force them o even put them behind. quoting examples and anecdotes of our curses of introduction to classic and greco lain literature, we show both extreme attitudes of apathy or interest of students. and ours also, responding to those of the students, searching for a balance for our uneven academic reality.

Rojas,Clea;
Educere , 2005,
Abstract: latin subjet on both levels (i and ii), is the same on the pensum of two of the majors of the school of letters (languages and classic literatures and language and hispano-american and venezuelan literature) and also at school of modern languages of the faculty of humanities and education at the universidad de los andes, that its why it is on high request by the students, and its teaching entails problems whose main causes we expose in this essay. starting from this reality and my experience as a teacher in this area, i proposed, and also use, a brand new methodology completely diferent from the traditional introductory strategy for first classes of latin subjet, in order to make the learning easier for most of the students. this have drove me to reconsider the objectives of the subjet and to reflect on the thrully value that teaching latin has reached in our faculty, a different and particular value, but not less valid, which however, entails to consider the permanence sense of this subjec within our pensa.

Estudios Socio-Jurídicos , 2009,
Abstract: the professions have images which are part of their social representations. this article shows the results of research into the social value of the legal profession and legal professional, as applied in the general population. the social devaluation of crucial subjects, in the exercise of the profession stands out: ethics, solidarity, honesty and humility. these are ambiguous situations because professionals enjoy great prestige. their success (and even their attire) indicate a essential elements of their professional status which constitute a natural framework of meaning by which they demonstrate the ostentation of the power of their profession to control people's lives. university formation must be more effective and relate to the social and personal situations that must face the professional in a complex and competitive labour market.
