On Starshaped Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets  [PDF]

Abstract: Intuitionistic fuzzy starshaped sets (i.f.s.) is a generalized model of fuzzy starshaped set. By the definition of i.f.s., the intuitionistic fuzzy general starshaped sets (i.f.g.s.), intuitionistic fuzzy quasi-starshaped sets (i.f.q-s.) and intuitionistic fuzzy pseudo-starshaped sets (i.f.p-s.) are proposed and the relationships among them are studied. The equivalent discrimination conditions of i.f.q-s. and i.f.p-s. are presented on the basis of their properties which are meaningful for the research of the generalized fuzzy starshaped sets. Moreover, the invariance of the two given fuzzy sets under the translation transformation and linear reversible transformation are discussed.
Twisted exponential sums of polynomials in one variable

Abstract: The twisted $T$-adic exponential sum associated to a polynomial in one variable is studied. An explicit arithmetic polygon in terms of the highest two exponents of the polynomial is proved to be a lower bound of the Newton polygon of the $C$-function of the twisted T-adic exponential sum. This bound gives lower bounds for the Newton polygon of the $L$-function of twisted $p$-power order exponential sums.

Abstract:
Since the implementation of the revitalization strategy, Northeast China has undergone great changes in safeguarding the national grain security and confronted with many problems in developing the modern agriculture. It is necessary to find out measures to promote the development of modern agriculture. The volume of grain production in Northeast China accounts for 19.27% of the whole country and is still on the rise. The proportion of grain crops increases rapidly, and the proportion of non-grain crops continues to decline. The structure of grain crops tends to be dominated by maize, rice, and soybean. The planting structure of the three major grain crops has changed significantly, and maize has an absolute advantage. Confronted with the problems of agricultural science and technology level, infrastructure, market circulation, system and mechanism, Northeast China should take the road of modern agricultural development with local characteristics through regulating the production structure, implementing large-scale operation, building the whole industry chain, making scientific and technological innovation, and preventing risks.

Abstract: Surface sedimental samples were collected from(1)Le An River in Jiangxi Province, south of China,and(2)several lakes located in southwest of Germany.Concentrations of heavy metals in these samples were determined.Moreover,the situations of heavy metal pollution in two regions were comprehensively assessed by combined index of geoaccumulation with visualized multi- variate graphical method——modified Chernoff Face Graph.Face graphs intuitively demonstrated strong heavy metal contamination in Le An River,especially copper pollution.However,in lakes' sedimental samples,contamination of other heavy metals showed mild or clean except cadmium and chromium.

Folate Intake and Methylenetetrahydrofolate Reductase Gene Polymorphisms as Predictive and Prognostic Biomarkers for Ovarian Cancer Risk

Abstract: Folic acid and methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) may affect the development of human cancer. However, few studies have evaluated folate intake and MTHFR in susceptibility to and prognosis of patients with ovarian cancer. We conducted a prospective case-control study in 215 ovarian cancer patients and 218 controls (all Chinese) between Jan. 2004 and Jan. 2007. MTHFR C677T genotyping was done by PCR-RFLP. All patients were followed up until Dec. 2010. We found a 2.43-fold increased risk of ovarian cancer among MTHFR 677TT carriers, and a decreased risk of ovarian cancer in individuals with high folate intake (OR = 0.54, 95% CI = 0.32–0.94). Cox regression survival analysis showed that among the ovarian cancer patients, those carrying the 677TT genotype had a higher risk of death (HR = 2.17, 95% CI = 1.20–4.79), while high folate intake was associated with a lower risk of death (HR = 0.43, 95% CI = 0.33–0.88). Moreover, MTHFR 677CC carriers with higher folate intake showed a lower risk of death from ovarian cancer (HR = 0.32, 95% CI = 0.27–0.82). In summary, high folate intake may lessen susceptibility and improve the prognosis of ovarian cancer patients, while the MTHFR 677TT genotype appears to increase ovarian cancer risk and worsen its prognosis in a Chinese population.

Abstract: Sediment cores, suspended particles and overlying water were sampled in Shenzhen Bay. The results showed that metal concentrations elevated in the surface sediments, especially for Zn. The proportions of exchangeable Zn, Cd, Co and Ni in the inner bay were higher than in the outer bay, indicating the impacts of pollutant input along the bank. Material exchange and redistribution between suspended particles and surface sediments led to a significant correlation of metal concentrations at each sampling site. The spatial gradients of Cu, Ni and Zn concentrations in different phases exhibited similar variation patterns.
